Neighbor Spotlight · Women’s boutique

Clothes Hound Clothing Co.

Independent women’s boutique on Whiskey Row: apparel, shoes, handbags, jewelry and accessories, mixing new and vintage.

Clothes Hound Clothing Co. packs women’s apparel, shoes, handbags, jewelry and accessories into a 1,200-square-foot storefront right on Whiskey Row. Owner Candy Hull grew up in Prescott, graduated from Prescott High School and always pictured her own shop downtown. She took over the store in September 2011 and found out that same month she was expecting her first child. For the next few years her buying trips to Los Angeles came with a baby along for the ride.

The shop leans away from trends and toward hard-to-find brands and pieces built to last, often mixing new and vintage. A signature item is a run of one-of-a-kind flannels Candy makes herself, with old rock T-shirts sewn onto the back. That fits a store that loves local music and marks its anniversary on Acker Night, downtown Prescott’s free December music showcase (December 11 in 2026).

A bit of history: before it was a boutique, the space was a souvenir shop, a saddle shop and a western-wear store. The shop also has a real canine mascot, Frankie.

Tips for visiting

  • Dogs are welcome inside.
  • All sales are final, but the shop will gladly swap a size if something doesn’t fit, so try things on.
  • There’s no online store yet, so plan to shop in person.
  • The front window display changes every season and is worth a look on a Whiskey Row stroll.
